Dental Surgery Fitout - Erskineville, Sydney

A three chair dental surgery fitout in Erskineville for Dr Katrina Zhou. This was the second surgery that we have built for Dr Zhou, after completing a fitout in Macquarie Park previously. The beautiful surgery fitout was designed by Antony Poate and achieves a consistent corporate look for Midas Dental. The fitout was in a new shopping centre where timeframes are always tight and flexibility is low due to working along many other builders and tradespeople.

The design theme of the surgery incorporates a beautiful combination of stone, woodgrain and classic colours combined with an eye-catching lighting scheme. The reception and waiting area have a large shopfront which provides an inviting patient experience.

Inside the surgery rooms the same theme continues, with light grey and white colours used for cabinetry and flooring. The mid-grey speckled vinyl floor is a very practical choice as it cleans easily and doesn’t show everyday wear and tear marks. We provided mobile draw modules in the surgery rooms. These are an option that some practitioners prefer. The sterilization area has excellent ergonomics, allowing efficient and hygienic operation.

Dr Zhou specified a large and well appointed staff area to maximise wellbeing for all team members at the practice.

Dental Surgery Fitout - Marsden Park, Sydney

Designing an upmarket dental practice for a growing area, that was warm and inviting was definitely achieved for Dental@Marsden. Design was key for the new 3 chair surgery. Commodore’s design team was able to combine natural elements of stone, wood-look flooring, timber and a striking custom wall print to bring together the reception and waiting area.

As always, within the dental fit-out, storage was thoughtfully incorporated into the space to ensure that everything has a place that is easily accessible. Cabinetry was specifically designed to suit the clients equipment.

The dental surgery design has a warmth that differentiates itself from the sterile “white” dental surgery that so many others have. Many of the dentists clients have commented on the welcoming interior.

Specialist Medical Centre, Richmond, Sydney

This surgery fitout was a full renovation of a heritage dwelling located in Richmond on the outskirts of Sydney. In addition to our internal fitout of the specialist consulting rooms, extensive building work came within our scope. The site’s proximity to the local Air Force base contributed to a large number of complicated DA conditions. These included sound proofing, extensive storm water management, carpark and traffic management.

The building itself had sunk at the back half and needed to be raised and levelled. The roof also had a number of leaks which needed addressing. Over the years there had been a couple of individual renovations to the original building where the aesthetics needed to be addressed to give a professional outcome.

Inside, we carried out a full renovation including two bathroom areas. Heritage styling was delivered consistently throughout the interior. We added a decorative dado moulding on most walls along with heritage style architraves and skirtings that beautifully match the building.

We installed a timber plank floor in a herringbone pattern in the main reception area, and continued the timber plank flooring in a traditional pattern throughout the consult rooms and working areas. The joinery is a combination of traditional style and profiles with modern colours.

The client opted to keep the original fireplace in the reception area, which we rejuvenated.

At completion the project looks amazing and has truly transformed the site.
